9-29-21 THOUGHTS
The words below are summary and powerful. The GOOD NEWS is proclaimed! Fertile words are found that hold deep and profound truths. God’s eternal plan to save man is well stated! Two times below , the word EXULT is used. One of the definition options is “jump for joy”! God didn’t just speak love from heaven, God demonstrated love in the life of His Son! A historical bloody cross and a powerful resurrection, paint the picture of COST and LOVE! We are even encouraged that bad times are profitable for us. Hope, love and God’s Spirit are agents in our overcoming! All things that matter are ours. His promises are precious and magnificent. We can become partakers of the divine nature! Simply, we have peace with our God!
Rom 5:1-11 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; 4 and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. 6 For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. 10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
2Pet 1:2-4 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; 3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 4 For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.
My Prayer:
We praise you O God for all that we are because of you. Thank you for pouring out your love for us through your Spirit. Thank you for justification, and reconciliation and peace. Help our joy as we wait for the coming of our Lord, or for life’s final breath.
In the name of our Savior Amen
